Early Breakfast

It took me some determination, but I was finally able to buy milk and cereal for my dorm room yesterday. Which means today was the first time in 2 weeks I ate cereal. Golden Grahams to be exact. The bowl was more difficult to come by, the consideration came to slip one out of the cannon, but luckily some friends offered an extra bowl for myself and my roomate. We of course would have returned the cannon bowl eventually, I am however glad we now do not have phantom stolen bowls on our conscience were ever we go on campus.
Food rests on a pedestal in my life, if I had the gift I would certainly become a chef, unfortunately I eat better than i can cook. My favorite food would certainly consist of a single item. I went to the Pastini Pastaria one day in Beaverton, OR, where I am from, and decided to really splurge on my meal choice. My parents were out of town, my little brother and i had hardly eaten in the past couple of days, and we were ready to spend all the rest of the money left to us on our last supper before they were to return. I ordered the most delicious pasta with large garlic bulbs, creamy sauce that was not to thick or thin, and had salad and soup to go with it. All the items were delicious, but the soup stood out far above the rest. It was a tomato basil with fetta cheese. Basic but, unconditionally exceptional. I would have never thought when I would be asked to answer the question of a favorite food, it would simply be tomato soup. However, I know it was more than soup, it was the closest thing to heaven.

It's amazing that feta cheese can elevate any food to ambrosia! The soup sounds delicious!
