I am thankful for this story...

First of all, I am thankful for my mother because she cried when I surprised her being home 3 days earlier when I told her I was coming. Not because she cried, but because I can tell she loves me, and can tell that I love my family wanting to come home as early as possible. The story that I hold to my Thanksgiving memories is what I think is... freakin awesome.
On thanksgiving one here, before my grandmother passed away, my family and all my extended family sat around an enormous table all eating the Turkey Dinner. To start it off, every single grandchild, every one, was asked to say a prayer thanking the Lord for something that we were thankful for. To set my excellent 5 year old delivery up, it is a really big deal in my family when someone is pregnant, so the news is often given in some fun, exciting way to surprise everyone at the table. So, it gets to my turn to say my thankful prayer. I start by mumbling the basics.... parents, sister, nintendo, tonka trucks, etc. Then, out of nowhere I softly proclaim, "And thank you for giving me a new baby brother."
You know when you start a prayer still laughing about something, and the whole prayer it is absolutely murder to keep your mouth shut and you usually just guffaw right in the middle as you mouth cannot withstand the power of what wants to come out. Well, My grandma was wailing, my aunts were all awing and my parents had grins from ear to ear (not that I had my eyes open to watch all this). I am thankful for this being one of the very few random memories that I remember as a very young child. I would just like to say, for this being the first time I am really visiting "Home", I am so thankful for my two siblings of which my heavenly father gave me. Especially now realizing that in only a few short months I will have almost zero influence on them, it makes realize how thankful I am for the chances I have had and am having with them. Happy Thanksgiving :)
